Are you familiar with the phrase “I would love to do this, but…”? 🙂
In my previous article 8 Ways of Looking at Procrastination and How to Avoid it, I mentioned different reasons why procrastination is present in our lives, and I offered a few suggestions.

I must admit: I was guilty of “Too much to do” (the 1st reason), each time when I wanted to start painting. “It takes too much time, I’ll do it when I’ll be retired”, I kept saying to myself until … last week!
What happened?! I stumbled upon the Modern Batik Art Workshops website, liked it so much that I spent my week-end going to this workshop!!! Not even one hour driving from Toronto to Guelph stopped me!

What a great experience creating my first piece! Did you notice how time flies when you’re doing something you really enjoy? That’s what it felt to me last week-end.
The workshop instructor, David Kibuuka, is an international artist who sold his art all over the world and owned art galleries in Toronto and Los Angeles: http://www.modernbatikartworkshops.com.
His passion for Modern Batik Art is contagious. The next workshop is on 12-13 September 2012, and I encourage you to give it a try. 🙂 He’s open to go in other places around the world, if people are interested in his workshops.

What do you think about my “butterfly”? 🙂
I’m happy with the results, thank you David!
